One of the highlights of our camp is the evening campfire in our dining room, situated on a hilltop. Here, our crew shares captivating stories passed down from their ancestors, giving guests a deeper understanding of Maasai traditions and customs. It is an intimate and magical experience that truly connects guests with the spirit of the Maasai people. Just a short walk from our camp, guests have the opportunity to visit a traditional Maasai home known as a manyatta. Here, the welcoming Maasai family guides visitors through their daily routines and explains how they live in harmony with nature. Position of the camp
Located in the serene Loita Hills, Maji Moto Eco Camp offers a tranquil retreat where guests can escape the hustle and bustle of modern society. Situated at the top of the hill, our camp offers breathtaking panoramic views of the vast plains that stretch towards the renowned Masai Mara National Park. Surrounded by nature, our camp provides a peaceful and quiet atmosphere for those seeking a break from the demands of daily life. Here, you can disconnect from the distractions of modern technology and immerse yourself in the beauty of the natural world. Maji Moto Eco Camp is an ideal destination for nature lovers and adventure enthusiasts alike. You can explore the hills and plains through guided hikes and nature walks, allowing you to discover the flora and fauna that call this region home. The Loita Hills are home to a diverse range of wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, zebras, and an array of bird species.
One of our great advantages is that we are just 1-hour drive from the Mara. This makes it convenient to go for a full-day game drive, but not pay park fees for over nights.
Accommodation
Consists of 10 privately positioned Igloo-type of tents, furnished with mattresses, pillows, bedding and towels.
All tents are secluded with private relaxing spots and a view. There are 6 showers and long-prop toilets for our clients to share.
Common structures of the camp (dining, kitchen, showers and toilets), are built Masai-style using only local materials such as branches, stalks, grass, cow dung, mud and stone.
